Rural Home

MASTE HABITAT, a construction company on Lake Garda, specializes in rustic renovations.

In rural contexts we are often lucky enough to come across buildings with stone structures. Customers, in love with the history of these dwellings, usually ask us to preserve the charm and the main characteristics of the property.

When we talk about rustic buildings, the choice of materials to use in the renovation is a fundamental aspect. This natural material, thanks to the use of dedicated processing cycles, allows us to restore retaining walls or even block situations of surfacing water, guaranteeing healthy environments over time without the use of chemical agents.

When we talk about rustic buildings, the choice of materials to use in the renovation is a fundamental aspect. In most case, we basically use pure NHL 5 lime, a natural material, which through dedicated processing cycles, makes it possible to restore humid environments such as rooms with retaining walls or even block situations of water surfacing, guaranteeing healthy environments over time without the use of chemical agents.

Maste Habitat, rustic, exposed stone finish

A need of rustic homeowners is to preserve some walls with an “exposed” stone finish, which allows to keep alive the history of the building.

This process can be carried out using different aesthetic nuances, varying the color and grouting depth of the mortar used.

If necessary, it is possible to intervene, using the patching technique, to integrate missing portions, to reconstruct exposed brick arches, to insert steel architraves for structural consolidation or ancient wooden elements for decoration. The main goal always remains to intervene without pointing out the difference between the reconstructed and existing portions.

Maste Habitat, wooden floors and roofs

Depending on the relevance of the project, we can carry out particular work on timber floor slabs and roofs by treating the elements through shaping, brushing, cuts and joints, elements with irregular sections, impregnating or enamels… in order to give an aged effect and fit perfectly into the rustic context.
